Once again, this premier cycle race is coming to our streets! This year the excitement will be on Sunday 8th May.

The race is part of British Cycling’s Elite Road Race Series Spring Cup and attracts the very top professional riders in the UK. Starting in the Market Square the race starts with a ceremonial rollout through Salisbury before heading to Wilton for the racing start. The circuit which takes in numerous parishes, including Burcombe, Barford St Martin, Compton Chamberlayne, Fovant, Ebbesbourne Wake, Bishopstone and Broad Chalke, with riders taking on the challenging climb of Fovant Hill multiple times before heading back into Salisbury for the sprint finish.

Road Closures & Parking Restrictions during the cycle race

In order for the race to proceed safely, there will need to be some traffic regulations in place for the duration. These are described in the formal notice issued by Wiltshire Council.
